About

An ancestor of creative dev

Every December from 2012 to 2018, the Christmas Experiments opened one web experiment a day: WebGL, canvas and Web Audio pieces made by creative developers and digital artists. It was an early playground for what we now call creative dev.

This site is its archive: seven editions and 183 experiments, repaired to run in today’s browsers on a computer in the snow.

Music by Rush Coil (VVVVV!, 2012). Winter village from the McRunner project. The Commodore 64 is a low-poly remodel made for this archive.
